A pair of rare beauties that I'll likely never get to see in person, so thanks for letting me see them here virtually!!!

My apologies.

I had forgotten to check for storage space and it doesn't warn me when capacity is getting low.

Now solved. I just purchased another gigabyte of storage space for $49 and you are good to go with uploads.

Thank you for your patience.

Fantastic Stuff!

Love the hot air pumping engines, and the GE turbine is way cool too, but Steven's Marine Engine is just superb!!!

But WOW do those props have an unbelievably flat pitch?!?!

I like the full-size steam locomotives at the museum. In particular, the Southern Railway 1401 4-6-2 "Pacific" in all its green painted splendor. The wheels are as tall as I am. Awesome!

Well, there are some interesting engines on display.
I was reminded of the "Deutsches Museum", München. But "Deutsches Museum" focusses technical and scientific aspects, whereas the "National Museum" also features exhibitions on other aspects of national interest, as I have just learned from its homepage. I can only hope it attracts many visitors...

Baldwin has long been sort of a personal hero of mine, mostly due to his founding of the Locomotive company of his name, but this early engine of his is a real treat as well.

Thanks for sharing again!

That museum not really being within anything like a practical range from me, this is perhaps my best chance to see such amazing sights!!!

Fantastic photos of truly wonderful machinery!

This place is a must visit.

I saw one of the very few Edison "Mary Ann" long legged dynamos at the Coolspring Power Museum.

Nice photos, Mike! We don't get to Washington, DC as often as we would like. Maybe we can visit this museum next time we are in town.

It’s my third visit in 20 years to this amazing place where one can see many of Edison & other scientists amazing inventions.
This time, I took many photos; and will upload few every day. The museum admission is free to visitors from anywhere. I encourage everyone to visit, and support this national treasure if you can.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2][attachimg=3]
