Well done Travis!
I have had this kit for 7 or 8 years.
I didn't think I was going to build it anytime soon and Travis needed a new project.
It's great to see it running on steam.
Once it warms up a little bit, we will set up my test track in the garage and give it a proper vetting.

Charlie hooked me up with this Ruby 0-04-0T steam locomotive by accucraft trains.
Spent a few days building it, was very intricate but also well made. Entire unit is machined just needs put together. Instructions are step by step but not always clear so you have to figure things out on the fly.
I struggled heavily with the eccentrics but finally got them to lock onto the crankshaft.
I did a first steaming but only able to get the wheels to spin while being held off its own weight. Needs run in, and more fine tuning.
I will have to get an air compressor and run it in to really get everything loosened up.
Fire works great and produces steam well. Runs on butane.
Had a blast setting it up. Just need to run it in as stated. Will post more updates as they come along to this thread.
Any tips or tricks greatly appreciated.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2][attachimg=3][attachimg=4][attachimg=5][attachimg=6][attachimg=7][attachimg=8]
