Nice one!

Here is the man himself....
Anton Bohaboy with his steam powered tether boat, in his waders, standing in the middle of a pond in Central Park, New York City.
He was well known to come here on nice days to run his boats and test his engines and have a boat load of fun.
Many folks from the surrounding area would come out and sit on the grass at lunch time to watch him play.
Enjoy!

Thank you, would be good to compare (-:

I cannot see your attachments Nick??
That’s just quoting Stoker’s post. I don’t have the engine here with me, but I’ll see if I can find the pictures of mine…

That 1x1 is beautiful Gil!!

Here is my only little A. Bohaboy vertical.
I've only ever run it on air, but it ran easily and well!

I think I have this same engine, but nobody could ID it when I asked several years ago…

Thank you Gil, that 1x1 is very smart, is that plated?
-
Here are a couple of my Bohaboy steam engines.
I still have the 1x1 single.
The 1x1 twin is in a new home.

Hi Stoker, thanks for the photos, that looks fantastic!
I'm assuming those that are signed on the flywheel were made by the man himself. Alas mine are not marked in this way I shall have to keep searching.
Either that or just sell me yours LOL (-;
Thanks again, great to see!

Yes everyone seems to say that. Puzzles me a little as many must have been built from the casting kits and not everyone is a good machinist.
My Old Faithful arrived and didn't run at all..but it was just the timing that needed sorting. Do you have any photos of yours you could share? 😊
-
I've had several Bahaboys, never had a bad runner yet.
-
😊👍 Good luck in your hunt then.
-
Thanks Nick, a little tlc and she will be right 😊👍
Do you have any Bohaboys?
Not yet! :D

Nice looking engine and one I don’t yet have… I think I glanced at the listing because I remember the pulley, had I taken a closer look, I probably would have bid too! Congrats!!
-
Thank you Gil, yes I'm super pleased with it, just wish I had spotted the Bohaboy boiler for it elsewhere in the sale 🥺doh!!
Many of the screws are socket heads, I'd like to revert to fillister heads.
Don't suppose you know what threads were suggested/ used?
-
Congrats! Those are great running little engines.

Good day to you all.
Today was a good day as my Anton Bohaboy Workhorse engine arrived. Seen herewith hopefully a photo in its pre loved condition. Lashings of oil later and the application of a little compressed air, off she went, runs really well.
I have seen somewhere online a
post showing as a backdrop a copy of the original drawings supplied with the castings, can anybody on here help me with a copy of these? Reasonable copying expenses of course gladly paid if you can help...please?
Cheers
Sirius.
