Aquarium air valves work well . I have used many of them . Just remove the barb ends and carefully solder them into your line .

Thanks!  The pictures really say it all.  I'm new to this hobby and never thought you could bridge such a long distance with just a solder joint.  You did a nice neat job too.

How do I address you?  Is it okay to say "Thanks D E"?

Paul

I have a Fleischmann 122/4 with a 2mm steam line into which I want to splice in a throttle, as well as a Wilesco D6 with a 4mm (5/32") steam line.  Where can I purchase valves/throttles for these?
