It works !
My friend Eric built a pulley to aid starting and after much trial and error we found a setting that allows it to spin slowly.

A big thank you to Max, who built this exceptional and extremely rare engine and then allowed me to add it to my collection.
Like my other engines of this type, it is extremely difficult to start, despite the fact that Max made a special carburetor to help.
It was sold only as a kit and is no longer available. The original link is:

I'm going to make a small adapter that will allow me to use a drill to start it, as I've only managed to get it to backfire for a few seconds so far. To be continued...
