Terrific addition Doug.
-
Complicated seems to be a understatement, it going to be great to see it running!
-
I havent had it running yet, but there is more to it than meets the eye. The undercarriage is complicated as well.
-
That is really nice Doug. 😊
-
Wow!
-
Put a couple of flywheels on the ends of the shafts if it makes you feel better, and it will offer good visuals too!
-
I,m going to have to try running it without flywheels/paddlewheels, but other projects ahead of it.
-
That looks truly amazing just sitting there without anything moving!
-
It wont run without paddle wheels or flywheels. This engine will most likely get passed on to someone will the skills to make paddle wheels.
As far as I can imagine, it should run as is, if the various valves are set correctly, and if correctly built.
Paddle wheels won't act as energy storage, but quite the opposite...at least when starting to feel the drag of water.

That is an amazing looking engine Doug....
Congrats!

A neat bit of kit Doug.
As Nick said, it is always great to see what you drag home from Coolsprings.
