What a job you did with this model !
Knowing well that you do things 100%, this would be the one to go for anyone in the marked :-)
Much appreciated Ola.

Bruce, with all of your upgrades, that absolutely has to be the very finest Ind-X engine anywhere on this planet .... or any other for that matter!

You have just created the very engine that Ind-X should have built to start with, though I doubt they could have made a reasonable price point had they done so?!?!

What a beauty, that has been properly rebuilt to very robust standards!!!

Hi folks
I've had this Los Angeles made IND-X on my shelf for 7 yrs at least now & thought it time to do something with it. I completely stripped the firebox & reshot the paint with new wrinkle black paint. I had my plaque maker make a brand-new metal ID tag for it, since few of these original boilers survive people who leave water in them, or don't dry them out good, they rust badly, mine was no exception, So... I built a brand-new copper boiler with brass fittings & added an additional port on top for a pressure gauge; the boiler was professionally nickel plated & now has an (replaceable) immersion rod cartridge heater which puts out about 675W @ 110V compared to the stock 400W. I made a new brass connecting rod as the original snapped in two places when removing (I was not careful enough & they are made out of pot metal) it runs well & as these engines are steam hogs, the additional wattage is appreciated. if you ever buy one of these, check out the steel boiler very closely. you will not find a better IND-X than this one, with the new custom copper boiler, it will outlast any other IND-X out there.
asking $250 + shipping, its fairly heavy. PM me if interested please.
