You are right about proclaiming the "best" Jenson ! I have several different models , and have considered them all the best . Typical Jensons , smooth , quiet , and powerful . LOL !

That was a nice find!!!

Jensen #5 are well built, powerful engines of their type, and truly Iconic as well. However, trying to say which is the "Best" Jensen engine is a bit like trying to pick a favorite of most anything else, there may well be differences of opinion. If it truly is the best in your eyes, I certainly have no argument with that!!!

That's a nice looking Jensen you scored yourself.

Nice looking #5 you have there, & glad it runs well for you. You'll find that there are quite a few of Jensen's "finest runners" out there.😊

Well , I finally picked myself up a Jensen 5 off of Ebay . I had been wishing for one of these for sometime , and I am not disappointed . I simply cleaned it up , gave the base a fresh coat of polyurethane , worked on the sight glass a bit and added a new pulley . After running it some , I can say that I believe that this may be Jensen's finest engine . It is a typical Jensen , smooth , quiet and powerful . here are a couple of pictures .
