Sorry it did not look right for you. Yes, the unit is a bit coarsely cast.
Classic Tin does have some good reasonably priced repro parts and I purchased
an eccentric crank handle. I could have carved one from a chunk of lead or pot-metal,
but I don't mind paying a business like this one to provide one for me. Helps to
keep them in business.
Good Luck,
Wayne
For the record, you can see that reproduction on here in my updated Weeden #20 update YouTube. It's not like I am going to throw it away, never know when I might need to use it - since it is better than nothing. The other reproduction I got from David Roenigk (and now installed on my #3) is the proper style but I think it was a bad pour. Anyways, I'm hoping for a original one :-)

I have bought other parts from Classic Tin, I just wasn't happen with that pressure valve.
I also believe they are only selling what they have left in stock, as the fellow that started the store/made those reproduction parts passed away a bit ago.

I have that one, used it for a early #20 - not a good reproduction as that nut is part of the pour (later ones like that Weeden just soldered the pipe into it). I ended up getting a donor #20 and installing the period correct one :-)
Thanks for the tip though ;-)

Try this site. They have a decent variety of repair parts, new and repro, for all sorts
of toys. Five pages of Weeden parts. Pretty easy to navigate.

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a original Weeden Bayonet Pressure Valve for my Weeden #3. I have a reproduction on it now but it isn't the best and when I transported the leveler the plunger doesn't sit well at all.
There are a few different bayonet styles: What I'd call chalice shaped (with/without steam line connection), then two like the photo attached below. The different in the two are in hight, the one from this #3 is about 9mm, not including the interlocking nubs or lever arms. The other one has a lower profile, perhaps a few millimeters shorter in hight. Also, this one on my #3 isn't a ball weight but has the puck slider.
I'd prefer the 9mm height Bayonet Pressure Valve, I can transplant my arm and I have the puck weight. Anyone have one in good/great shape for a reasonable price, plus shipping?
