Thanks Jim. Not my hunk of iron but I have my share.

G'day Brent,
That looks a wonderful hunk of iron there.
And agree re: Denny's Improved
-
My Denny Improved Ericsson from Jin once ran for 1 hour and 58 minutes on a single tank of fuel.

Wow ... that's great Brent!
Thanks for that added bit of historical information. I just love to get these glimpses into the past!!!

Very nice video; thanks for posting. Not sure why Jin doesn't correct this, but his R02 is not a model of a Rider-Ericsson engine. It is a variant of an Ericsson engine called the "Denny's Improved" Ericsson made by the American Machine Co. of Delaware and not by Rider-Ericsson of New York state. If you compare R1 and R2 there are many significant differences although the basic design is the same and Jin used many of the same parts. But Rider-Ericsson it is not. American Machine had no relationship with R-E except to copy its design with several enhancements patented by Harmer Denny of New York and manufactured around 1906-14. Here's the real thing. The R01 has the elegant Rider lines Daniel.
The R02 is a very solid unit.
Pretty amazing the engines that Jin @JinMachine is producing for us to collect.

As is typical for your video productions .... this one is truly excellent!
I love both the R01 and R02 and there is really very little to choose between them. The R01 is a bit more elegant to my eye, while the R02 is a little more compact and robust. They both run like champions and it is most impressive to get such good running out of engines that are really rather small.
Thanks for your efforts to share this wonderful engine with us all!!!

I have had the RO1 engine for a while and was excited to finally have my hands on the R02 engine.
