Bonjour,
For my steam model boats, I like using 430-480 grade thick steam oil in the oil lubricators and on the machines as it sticks better on them.

On real locomotives, colleagues go up to 1 000 grade steam oil.

Received my order of oil this morning just in time for a Saturday steam run. I’ve never used this oil before but it works great and the engine seems to like it to ran fantastic this morning high speed and very low speed on my D5 Wilesco, great fun. I’m curious to know different oils folks like to use?
