I recently won a number of Weeden Electric motors and I am fairly certain one of the motors is missing at least one of its brushes. So as I wait for the motors to arrive, I do what I do and try to find all anything I can about the missing part!
While the brushes are pretty simple and I have other motors to guide me, it is nice to have a template and I actually find a site that refers to this task. Please click here for Brooke's page: Weeden Motor, Brooke Clarke, 2007. (https://prc68.com/I/Weeden-El-Motor.shtml) Many Thanks for to Brooke for documenting what he learned, making it available on his site and allowing me to share his PDF Template!
With Brook's permission I have attached his PDF. He did sale a Phosphor Bronze Brush Kit but he has misplaced his Phosphor Bronze. I'll likely pick up some 0.01 Phosphor Bronze from McMaster-Carr once I know for sure I do need to make a brush and it will get that motor running.
