I've seen the cheap made in India ones on eBay.

Nice video Raphael, but yes, they most certainly can be a bit finicky in operation!

I've seen those pop-pop boats at the Cabin Fever show for years, but never really understood entirely how they work beyond they worked from a candle. This wikipedia article about the toys is surprisingly interesting:

Thanks for that link Doug ..... it was indeed an interesting read!

I am a sucker for these as well...
A nice little fleet you've acquired there Daniel, congrats and well done!
-
You'll be able to take on the Strait of Hommus with that fleet!
These are about as expensive a vessel as I'd be willing to risk there right now!!!

Well that is some score there - talk about spares! Do we get to see any of them running?

Was browsing the evilbay not long ago and noticed an entire fleet at anchor there in the BIN cove in the bay. Made an offer that was accepted so that I took the entire fleet at about $5 per vessel delivered. A whole lot of redundancy, and I certainly don't know what all I'll do with most of it, but a quick spin around the birdwater dish out in the yard seems to have adequately justified the purchase as far as my inner child is concerned!!!
