Life gets more expensive....
I've hooked up gas dryers and stoves in the past with no trouble.
Now, according to NYC rules gas hookups must be done by a licensed
plumber. Between $350 and $500. Well, for that much, they are on
the hook if there are any gas problems, that's for damn sure! If I
did it myself and there were problems (house blows up) my insurance
would not cover me because I broke the rule. Those $$$ could buy a
nice engine (yay) or a weekend in Atlantic City (wifey says yay).
