Clever and handy tip.

Read about this a while ago, never got around to trying it until today.
Heated up tube to anneal, made rounded end shaft from same diameter steel as OD of tubing.
Chucked tube in lathe and shaft in tailstock chuck, turned on lathe and pressed shaft into end of tubing.

Joint ready to solder once cleaned up;
