It is with profound sadness I announce our good friend Steve Tyner passed away on Friday August 14th.
I got the call from his loving wife Donna this morning while out for a morning walk.
Clearly not the call I was expecting or hoping for.
Steve was involved with Jensen Steam Engines from back in the early 1990s.
He signed on as their webmaster and created their website around 1995 I believe.
Several years later when general/sales manager John Foskett got side tracked, Steve stepped up to the plate and took on Foskett's duties in addition to continuing as webmaster. He served Jensen and this hobby faithfully until he contacted one of the earliest cases of Covid in early 2020. This gave him complications that hindered his abilities enough that he stepped aside and helped get John and Aleta dialed in to take over. Tom Jr's wife also helped with this transition. She knows a lot.
Steve was good for our hobby.
