Bonjour John,

For all my engines, in France,  I use Best Fuel 2-stroke Alkylate petrol.

Hi John, The 2 you have chosen are the best available hit and miss gas engines from China.

They are quite pain free. Both are able to start by hand right out of the box.

Let us know when you get them.

Thank you both for sharing your wisdom. I have a feeling that I will be asking a lot of questions for a while. The gas engines are totally new to me.

Daniel's advice is very good.

John, you will love those 2 engines!

I have of late been using 25 or 30 to one mixtures as of late. Many will run on 10 to 1 however sloppily.

Most of Jin's I have mixed with Marvel Mystery Oil and with some of my small ignitor engines I use a 25 to 40 to 1 Coleman fuel with 2 cycle oil.

Jin's spark plug ignitions work fine with Marvel Mystery Oil. You may occasionally want to remove a spark plug, clean, and dry it.

Jin's will run fine with 2 cycle oil. I could be just blowing smoke here however I have felt the Mystery Oil was better at protecting the O-rings on the pistons. He includes spares with the engines and after having my first one more than 10 years ago I learned quickly the O-ring likes to stay lubricated. Ever since I have never had to replace another O-ring.

Don't get too locked into any regimen until you hear from Gil. He has vastly more experience running these little gems than do I, so it's certain he has some things figured out that I haven't even considered yet!!!

Thanks Stoker. That is what I was leaning toward. I’m a complete novice at these and wanted everyone’s opinions.

Mostly, I use Coleman Camp Fuel (White Gas) with a 20:1 - 40:1 mix with Marvel Mystery Oil!

Obviously, I don't feel that the mix ratio is super critical, but the engine will tell you if it is or isn't getting enough. I like to see just a bit of oil in the exhaust, not a whole messy lot of it. Different engines do seem to prefer different ratios, at least in my experience!

I just ordered an OKMO B01 and B02 today. My birthday was in July and I couldn’t think of anything I wanted at the time. After seeing the videos of the miniature hit & miss engines and decided it was time to get a couple. I’m wondering what most people use for fuel and what oil mix. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
