I know you're waiting on the next design, but go on Charlie, you know you want one ;) ;)

Hooray!
I am happy that you finally got yours Nick.
Good job on the video.

Mine just yesterday, when i made the little Jensen genny powertest, rattled the left flywheel loose from the crankshaft.
Had to remove the governor weights, and loosen the governor itself, to be able to slide it inwards, in order to get to the two flywheel grubscrews, positioned under the swingarms.
For future reference, a 1½mm and a 2mm hexkey is well worth keeping in the toolkit for these.

Haven't had anything come loose yet on mine after perhaps half a dozen operating hours. But the way they get knocked about at every Hit, I'm not surprised that screw shedding would be among their many noted attributes.
-
Nick, I was told when I bought these to take some Loctite and check every screw especially the ones on the spring side of the flywheel.
I had read that as well, but was too excited to run it :D

Nick a lovely looking engine and runner. Can’t wait to see your cart.

I had brought this to steam school to show Chris (CBWHO). It was running great for a couple others, then was acting up when Chris came over. I took a look at it tonight and the set screws on the flywheel from the fuel tank side had come loose... tightened back up and it's running perfect again.

Nick, if you are anything like the rest of us, you will be grinning ear to ear as you run your new Hit and Miss. Compared to $2500 to $4500 that the really nice, cast engines go for, you get a lot of bank for the $300ish price paid.
Enjoy,
Rog

they are great fun, looking forward to your cart.

Lovely clear video and photos Nick!

Great fun ain´t it ;D
Congrats Nick !

Very nice Nick, they need more oars and rowers on these boats from China :)
One of these is now on my bucket list, yours is running good.
It was worth the wait for it, that's for sure.

We've all seen plenty of these, but had to get the first run out of the box on film. Will definitely have to make a cart like Bruce did for his...
Mine was quite a long wait, ordering nearly 2 months ago from Eachine, getting yanked around and finally refunded, which went to a Jin instead, as it should have in the beginning
