Title: Bangood Eachine aka Microcosm Hit/Miss Engine stalls under load.
Post by: Kmot on August 13, 2019, 07:23:39 pm
1st, I know nothing about the proper operation of a hit an miss engine. How, why and what of their design.

I am aware however, from reading  that they are supposed to maintain a load if applied to them

I just watched Jin from Microcosm new vertical version engine in a boat, and it almost seemed like it had a working throttle. The engine speeded up significantly, as well as slowed down again. I asked how is this engine throttled? Another viewer commented "changing the prop pitch".

So in other words, it was putting a load on the engine and the engine speeded up quite dramatically.

My engine, on the other hand, with a light load as in barely putting a finger against the flywheel, will pop pop a tiny bit faster a few times more, slow down and stall out.

What is wrong with my engine? How do I fix it so that it speeds up under a load?

Thank you.

I don't think mine is much better, they have a steep decline in power when its to much (which isn't much)
