That's certainly one heck of a long belt.

Great family event that lets kids know what life is all about early enough to be able to grasp the whole concept while growing up!

That is just GREAT!!!

Love the equipment on display at your very own "show" ....  ;c)

Yes, 10 minutes away at my dad's classmates family farm. Not sure that it could be called a show... more of a get-together, but just as fun as a show. Not even sure that we had two dozen people there this year, all the old-timers are passing away or in too rough of shape to make it out there  :-\

Long belts are much easier to line up, slap around less and seem to give an increase in power. It rolls on to the side of the machine for storage and it looks like a longer one would fit on there.

My oldest son wanted to stay home, but I didn't dare leave my mom with him and a 3 week old. When we left he asked if he could go back over there every day  :D  He has no interest in tractors, but had fun in the straw pile and chasing the pigs and chickens around  :D

My middle son however is in love with tractors, sleeps with a 1/64th toy Case traction engine, so maybe my collection has a place to go someday  :D

the old machinery works jut fine Nick, & your bargain tractor putts right along, more importantly I like how you have your boys there to be part of the process ,even if they're just sitting there quietly & watching. Good stuff.

That looks like a lot of fun Nick, good to see these old machines working hard doing the jobs they were designed to do.

Thanks Bruce (and all), but nope, not my bargain F-14... that's a friend's F-20 that was an even better deal than mine at only a couple hundred bucks. Hiding them in the corner of the rack was about the only safe place to keep them  ;)

I had my eyes on the kids all the time and think I explained to them over a hundred times how important it was to stay away from the belts.

Thanks Stewart, most of these tractors are cheaper than our toy steam engines, just not as easy to store  :D
