Thanks Nick and Dave, doesn`t match up to the original but at least it worked.
It`s heavy all steel construction.

No worries about that Lenn, like Bruce said, I would rather have your's too! And I do not believe that the "original" I posted is even original or worth anywhere near the asking price...

That is very impressive Lenn, much more fun than an aeolipile!!

I think the blue burner flames make a nice effect as it goes around, i like the ball on the other side, i was thinking a planet with a ring would look quite cool. ;)

Thanks Swift Fox, took a while find a ball that wound work ended up using the top of a kids gum ball machine, the weight is inside is the weight shown in the first vid.
It levels when the boiler and burner are filled.

Turned out real good Lenn - very impressive. Just out of curiosity what kind of bearing did you use at the top pivot - maybe just pointed needle?

Thanks guys, a couple notes in case someone makes one, the hole in the exhaust pipe has to be tuned for your boiler.
Velocity is what has to be accomplished and boiler pressure maintained, on this one the hole is smaller than a pin.

Thanks Jim, that`s the hard part for me, most toys are stamped tin the head being the hardest part.

You're super creative Lenn, always brings a lot of joy seeing what you and Norma can come up with and hand craft.

I always thought if something like your rocket man could be built with a propeller for propulsion it would be neat - just food for thought Lenn.
