A video of a rarely seen Marklin Steam Engine:

Wow , that ticks many of my bells & whistles , gears, gadgets, precision production....what's not to love.

Seeing that engine alone would have made the trip worth it 8)

That sure is cool !!!
Thanks for sharing :)

I have only seen one in person myself.
I believe Maxwell got it at the Leuthke auction.
Thanks for this, Charlie. I had never seen one running before.

There is one available right now by auction November 30th.
This one has a belt drive instead of the gear drive in Charlie's video. I am not aware of which came earlier but I rather suspect the lithograph base in the video suggests an earlier version?
Any if any one wants to drain their wallet or just drool like me....

Such a smooth running engine, I could watch it all day long. Almost hypnotizing. Love the video Charlie.

I just checked Invaluable and it did not sell.
Opening Bid was 4,400 Euros (approximately $5,000 USD).
