Title: How to contact a seller on German EBAY
Post by: komet163b on May 22, 2020, 10:57:48 am
I've been looking for a Bing pass-thru valve for my
engine.  It was recommended that I check into a seller
on German EBAY who may be helpful.  His EBAY name is

    Glueckskind101

Now, it just happens that he has one for sale (might be
right for me) but I can't seem to send him any messages
thru the German EBAY.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

If you add the item to your 'watch list' on German EBay then go back to UK EBay it will appear there in English which may make thing easier.

Hope this helps

When I go to Germany's Ebay, on Google I type Ebay.de, that will get you there and in the top right corner the translator pop's up and click
always translate German. Give it a minute and it all goes to English on the items page, lower pages stay German. Search Bing steam engines
or dampfmachine bing. Just about every spare part you see will be his, Glueckskind 101, and he has a lot of parts, his name is Juda.
Hopes this helps.

"He" is a her, and her name is Jutta. She sometimes has items not listed in her store also, so by all means send her a message through eBay. FYI, she speaks better English than I do I think.

I find that most from other countries speak English very well. I always start off by apologizing that I can only speak English, followed by my question, and I always get a well written response.

OK, when I ordered parts from he or she, they signed off as Juda.

Thanks for the help.  It seems the messages about some tech
problem were true and had nothing to do with my attempts to
contact the seller thru EBAY Germany.

I got back up on the saddle, made my way thru the German site,
found the seller and put relevant items on watch.  I'm also in
email contact.  Plus, I've now seen pix of the sightglass assembly
disassembled.

So, all is fine now except for shipping small items.  It seems the
only shipping right now is for larger, expedited, packages for
larger costs.  Hopefully, shipping rules will be relaxed soon.

Thanks all around,
Wayne
