It's all in the post below.

Is this then the same O.S. Max that is famous for making gas powered model airplane engines?
If so, I must admit that I was totally unaware of this branch of their business.
-
New business to me as well, shame to find out about them this way... :-\

OS live steam models are top of the line when it comes to build quality & functionality; it’s sad to see them going away. I have a 3.5” & a 4.75” coal fired scale models. I ran the 4.75” @ PA live steamers.

Yes it's a branch from the same company. The detail that they put into these were second to none. If you want to see my favorite model,
get on YouTube and look for the OS Rocket.

Here is my 3.5 inch gauge Mogul, modeled after the prototype of 1880 by the Porter Locomotive Works, Pittsburgh
I never fired this one & it’s factory built, it’s on display at our living room.
The Rocket is 4.75” gauge and is also factory built with the front removable weight to avoid slipping and it came with the $1500 ride-on car factory built by OS in Japan.

Thanks Mike.
Both works of Art!
I hope to get to see them in person some day.
I am so stir crazy with this whole Wuhan Flu Pandemic.
I need a good Road Trip.
It is hard to believe that my trek across the country with Danny and his wife was only 10 months ago.

Beautiful pieces Mike!!

Both are stunning models. I especially like the riding car behind the rocket. One of our local live steam members recently purchased a 7-1/2" Mogul, runs like the proverbial Swiss watch. Expensive though, north of $20K. Our club owns an OS Porter I think a 2-4-0 in 7-1/2", which suffered some freeze damage a few years back, now repaired. That one was actually donated to our club by OS when they visited our club track.
