I know that feeling all to well.
Finish making a 1.7 mm bolt move to bench and drop it .
I have learnt it is quicker to make another than waste time looking

Cheers

hahaha!

I have thick industrial rubber floor matting in my shed, its great for standing on for long periods....not so great when you drop something and it turns everything into a 'superball'.

Who the heck is looking in my windows. I am glad you didn't catch me down on all fours like a drunk sailor.

Tom ,Jim , Dennis , Nick I have had all those issues at some point ,I also have just resigned myself to making a new part after a few seconds looking for that damned dropped part , have you ever purposefully dropped a second part thinking it might lead you to the 1st part....only to loose it also 😉

I found a nut from my Eitcech Ferris wheel nearly 6 months after the build in our living room carpet... We had bought a new (powerful) vacuum and it found it in the first pass 😂

And speaking of vacuums, if I lose a steel screw or nut I go straight for the Shop-Vac and grab a magnet. Much faster  :D

I was polishing a piece of brass on the 8" buffing wheel the other day when it was ripped out of hands and took off like a projectile.
Searched everywhere I didn't find it, but I found different one that the same thing happened to a long time ago!
