Title: David Auld New Zealand Traction engine
Post by: tenniV11 on January 09, 2022, 05:32:01 am
A Traction engine from Down Under - guess not often seen
specially in Switzerland. This one was imported 1996 and
the price was 230 Swiss Francs - today's value of US$ 250
It is very well and accurate made. It was never fired before
so I will leave it as is - for display only. Funny it came
with the original invoice!

A nice example but the brass flywheel is a mystery
They were usually cast mazac that  crumbles .
So maybe a replacement.
When you ordered the tractor you had the option of getting a trailer but at no point could you get a trailer on its own

Cheers
