I spent the last couple of weekends working on a rotating biplane steam powered toy. the 1st one came out good....but I thought I could improve on it, so I made a second.
the 1st prototype

That sure is a(nother) cool looking accessory from SPS, very well done Bruce!
-
Beautiful work Bruce. Ernst Plank made something similar ("Russian swing") powered by a little hot air engine with flying blimps and figures sitting in chairs.

I seem to remember that Brent, wasn't it a bit characterish ?
-
Yea Bruce ...... Those are really really nice!
SPS does it again!!!
-
I Like that. Do the propellers spin when the planes are in motion? Hard to tell in the video.

No Bret, the propellers don't spin, at least not easily, I tried on the 1st model but they're not molded well enough for easy rotation.

A wonderful improvement in design Bruce.
Well done sir!!!

Sorry Bruce, but what does "characterish" mean? Don't want to distract from your video, but here it is again if you haven't seen it:

That is so neat Brent , it's not the one I was thinking I had seen though , I welcome that fascinating video. Characterish was not a great choice of words, I guess I sorta of meant cartoonist or a bit outlandish presentation. Now I want to replicate your lovely (& rare) machine...😄

That's just uber cool Bruce!
-
Bruce, your creativity and craftsmanship never cease to amaze! But when you kicked up the speed on that first video, I started to get dizzy! :o
Brad, your display has a very classic look, and the "pickle rockets" (or whatever they are) add a whimsical touch!

I think the "pickle rockets" are supposed to be Zeppelin's airships.
-
I'm not Brad, but yes, the "pickle rockets" are zeppelins, at least a toy version.
Brent

Bruce, you come up with the coolest accessories!

You built such a cool toy and went ahead and improved it right away! 8)
Love the high speed in the first video :D

Thanks folks.
Nick , if I hadn't improved it straight away I might have forgotten what I wanted to accomplish...or I wouldn't have gotten round to it.
Got my steam show coming up August 4-7th so that'll keep me occupied for awhile, but I got another project thats pray'in on my mind...😉👍

Let us know when it's finished. ;)

Good luck with the show this weekend Bruce.
Hopefully, you will have a few minutes to get some footage of your display.
