Whilst waiting for some inspiration for the next bigger build and the weather to pic to up the paint the Ericsson I knocked up this little engine from scrap
The smoke box is a bit of old stainless exhaust ,hot cap from a bit of stainless conduit from the days when I had to do that dirty four lettered word for a living and the rest from the wall of shame of oops parts
The drawings can be downloaded from Manfreds Hobby page.de
The rods have been modified with ball bearings and a smoke box made and a throttle valve fitted as I like them to run a bit slower
It has a wee bit of clatter to sort out but its a runner
cheers

Nice running little engine. You worked that up from loose parts around the house?? Thats awesome!
-
Well not loose parts more from failed ideas over the years that have been buried under the bench with the spiders
Keeps me out of trouble
cheers

I think you need to keep digging for more scrap parts, that engine's a Beauty! 8)
Also like the Schoenner-type firebox vents 8)

Thanks Nick, couldnt remember the maker that had used that style of vents
Running out of scrap so may have to buy some stock sooner rather than later . I have a rotating cylinder Stirling that just wont work so that maybe the next to sort
cheers
