Title: Eachine Hit & Miss Shipping Saga Continues...
Post by: Nick on April 17, 2019, 09:39:41 am
I just checked the tracking number for my Eachine hit & miss and it shows delivered yesterday... the problem is it was delivered to: "Front Desk/Reception/Mail Room DENVER, CO" and I live in Minnesota...

I called the 1-800 USPS number and after 10 minutes of automated messaging, I was told that the wait time to talk to a person is over an hour. Instead, I called my local postmaster and gave him the tracking number. He said they likely gave me the wrong tracking number as that one was supposed to go to Denver.

I have just emailed the seller, now the wait to see if they respond...

Dear friend, really sorry, the system has a little trouble and it uploaded the wrong tracking for you! We are contacting the US local office to find the right tracking number of your item, not to worry, it has been shipped and we will inform you when the tracking number of your item has been found, we believe soon!!
Best regards!

Something smells fishy...

I got through to an international post office number and the tracking number they provided only shows Denver, CO. No street address or name that they can see.

And I don't think I can file a claim with ebay until May 6th as that is what shows for the estimated delivery...

I threatened the seller with filing a claim through ebay and they quickly responded:

Quote
Just about 1 or 2 days my friend, the other tracking number was from a different order, the system has some error while it upload the tracking number to your PayPal account. We are really sorry for the issue. Your item is currently on the flight to USA and it will arrive to your country within 3 days!
Kindly sorry and best regards!

Looks like mine is on the same slow plane as Daniel's??

3 Days??? A flight from the US to China is only 12 hours? What kind of flight is my engine on? I think I will have to go ahead and file my claim with ebay as you have no proof that it has been shipped...

Quote
No friend we mean that its already been in the flight since last week and 3 more days to arrive!

Quote
So you're trying to tell me that it will be in flight for 10 days?? How much fuel do they have on that plane and why is it taking 10 days to make a 12 hour flight?? All I want is a tracking number that shows it being shipped to my address. If that cannot be provided, I am filing a claim with ebay.

Have you not worked it out yet Nick .
Your plane it is  on is powered by the offending “Hit  an Miss “
Consequently very hit an miss as to whether it will ever arrive .
Good luck

All of this frustration with all the emachine  & AliExpress buyers just convinces me more to buy straight from the Jin eBay listings, I believe all those delivered  In unusually short order with 0 issues. They're more money, but at least you'll get it.

I gave up on my Eachine a while ago and bought two of Jin's, one for me and one for my son and grandson to fight over - no more AliExpress in my future!

I've decided to let my order ride, just to see what ends up happening with it. It was paid through paypal, so I feel comfortable that I'll get all, or at least most of my money back in the end, so there is little down side in that regard.

My take on the situation is that the seller was selling items that they did not actually have in stock, which is not uncommon actually, figuring they could order them up at a moments notice, only to find that demand and pricing had rapidly increased and there was no "reserve" supply available. So now they are faced with awaiting delivery of the next production batch, that is almost certainly going to come in at a higher wholesale price point, if and when they are made and available again.

Perhaps my greatest "fear", is that the recent increase in demand and escalation in pricing, is going to make that next production batch be a rushed job, and lessen the quality being reported on these earlier engines.

Best case scenario is that I get one of these neat little engines for a little over $200 sometime in the not too distant future, like maybe a month or so from now. Worst case would be I don't get the engine and have to file for a refund, but to not ride out the order means I have to file anyway, only sooner, so I'll just bide my time for now. Of course the other possibility is that the plane it has been on for almost two weeks now, finally runs out of fuel and crashes in the ocean, sinking my little hit n miss engine, that never was, to the bottom of the sea.

Meanwhile, some other options are in play.

Still waiting here from Banggood.

They committed to a shipping deadline of April 18th, today. This was a while back. We'll see how it goes.

More updates from the seller

Quote
And yes friend we already tell you that we will provide you the tracking number within the next 2 days, and you got it wrong, your package has to take more than one flights to arrive to USA, there are many transit points. If you don't feel like you could trust us with that, you don't even have to set a claim, we are willing to send you the refund right now if you want, that is how we work. Because there are some other customers in USA that also bought this item from us, so if you receive the refund we will deliver your item to them. We are really sorry for kept you waiting. We always do our best to give the customers the best service, hope you could understand for us.
Best regards!

Quote
No, I still want my engine that I paid for 12 days ago, I just don't understand why you cannot provide me with my tracking number now?

Quote
Its because the system uploaded the wrong tracking number for you, so the original tracking number of your item has been lost in the system, it will show up only when there is an update for your order. We have to wait for that from the carrier. Really sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards!

I do wish Jin was reading this and would chime in if he has any relation to this Eachine seller as they have more listed on ebay than he, himself does.

I do know it is much more reliable to buy direct from Jin, but I thought I would try my luck this once. I also do not like bidding on Jin's auctions as the bidder identity is set to private. I wish there was a way to buy direct from him...

Nick, I bought from the same seller. Mine landed in LA yeterday. It showed in the air since April 10. I'm curious to see if mine goes to "the wrong buyer" also. If so, I'll be dropping this order like a bad habit. I've left them alone, as I figured I'd get the same responses you got.  When I initially asked for tracking 5 days after purchase I got the same answer as you did.

Next time, I guess I'll just take my chances with Jin's auctions. I wish he had a BIN too, I'd pay what the $350 they are going for to get a good engine in a reasonable amount of time.

This delivery has really been hit and miss for you Nick.
:)

Do you reckon Nick's carb setting is a bit off, or maybe he doesn't have the right tension on his governor springs, because it looks like this deal has really been miss n miss for him so far .... as if I can talk!?!?

Actually, on mine, I think it is an ignition problem. Either I don't have the points set right, the coil is too weak, or there is a short in one of the leads, so there's just no spark and this deal has yet to ignite.

In any case, it seems that Nick and I are both just spinning our flywheels on these deals so far, and not getting any runtime ... just runaround time!   ;c)

[Quote:Hello friend, the USPS has contacted us for your order (tracking number RV876130360CN ), and there is a small problem for the item. So they will hold the item in US stock or return it back to us until the work is done, we will keep the items in the US stock, then we will be able to deliver the item to customers. We have no idea how long will this take, so we have sent you the full refund. If you are still interested in the item, we will inform you when all the work is done with the US customs. We know that this is really inconvenience for you, and it is also bad for us too. These days the US customs make things a little harder for items that comes from China. We are really sorry for the issue and hope you will understand for us. Please accept our dearest apologize. We promise to bring a better service in the future for you!
Kind regards and apologies!
Yours sincerely.

They must be sending mine to you, unless you got the same message.  Something makes me think we were just short term lenders. Good news is my refund will be applied to one of Jin's from his website.

FYI my engine from jzdyy won on 13th has "landed in destination country" while the other won on the 17th from galgig "arrived at regional distribution center". These aren't from microcosm-engine but appear they will have as fast shipping hopefully - maybe they're all relatives and beats getting sorry messages about the Eachine delivery.

Just noted that Jin's most recent eBay relisting is now at a start price of $330, up about $131 from his prior eBay starts, and now at the same price point as his website.

I should point out that Jin seems to list on eBay under three different seller names, which often show slightly different pricing or shipping costs, but actually seem to all belong to our member and friend Jin. All sell the same list of items anyway and do seem directly associated with him.

Yes, I should have mentioned that in my prior post. That BIN with free shipping is right at what the most recent auctions have fetched if you count the $30-40 in shipping that was added on those.

So if you've been wanting one of these for a while now ... this BIN offer is probably as good as it will get for at least a while. I think there are still at least a couple of actual auctions of these still up on eBay by Jin, and now that there is a reliable BIN they may not quite reach that level, so there may be something of a bargain to be snatched up yet.

I sure wish Jin had gone with the BIN option a bit earlier on, could have saved a few of us some "interesting" experiences. But perhaps Jin has been reading along on the Forum here, and has taken this action to help relieve our pain !?!?

What do these Eachine sellers get out of doing this anyway? Do they use our money for the 2 weeks that they have it?

Perhaps, but more likely they are just trying to make a buck selling something they don't normally stock, thinking (hoping) they can get it, to send on to a customer at a moments notice, which is probably normally the case. But in an instance like this where that something becomes suddenly popular and no longer available, they most likely hope to wait it out, until they can take delivery from the next batch, which is what I think we are experiencing here.

Because Jin is in with the production source, he still has, or continues to have, these models to sell, but these other outlets are awaiting having their orders filled, first come first served, but Jin is on the ground floor with the production.

That's my take anyway.

Great news for me Nick, as I have a different tracking number, so I'm sure mine is not involved in the screw-up you and Benny are experiencing! ;c)

My number isn't very different however, so I suppose that should be cause for at least a little concern. I'll still wait it out, especially now that I see Jin has at least ten available on a BIN.

Did you get all of your money refunded, or did you have to cough up paypal fees?

The 18th of April has come and gone and the new supply of the Eachine ET1 is still not at banggood ready to ship as promised.

I told them I can buy elsewhere and asked for a cancellation and refund.

They replied "Would you mind waiting a few more days?
We will send you 200points after the order shipped or if it is still not shipped after 30 days".

Hmmm..... If still not shipped in 30days??   To me, given past experience, it is the same as saying you will wait at least 30 days more. No thank you.

I replied: No, I will not wait any longer. Please refund immediately.

They said they would do this on the next business day Monday and I believe they will as they have been good about refunds.

Just bad business in my opinion. Never overpromise and underdeliver. I hope you get your refund quickly.
Jin's microcosm store showed 100+ in stock when I ordered mine. If I remember correctly purchasing from microcosm just sends you to eBay anyway, so that's where mine was ordered.

Meanwhile, it just may be that the market has peaked and is coming back down to more reasonable levels, likely due to Jin offering up BIN pricing well below the peak prices we have already seen. One of his that was on auction with shipping priced at $40 sold earlier today for just over $260, or just a little over $300 delivered.

Perhaps Jin has brought a little bit of stability to what has been a rather volatile market.

This should prove good for folks like us, as now we need not pursue these things with the level of desperation that has seemed to prevail of late.

Update #2

Item successfully delivered to Summit, MS which is only about 2,000 miles from where I live.

So Aliexpress buyer protection case started, seller (LBLA Store) has been notified, and Paypal case opened !

Note added to Aliexpress and Paypal:

Tracking shows item delivered to post office and person 2,000 miles away from me. Likely tracking number was for a different item to a different person, and had nothing to do with my order. I know of two other people who have just had this same problem from this seller. It seems they are selling a product that they don't have in stock, and linking to a different item and customers tracking info to stall and delay having to refund for what they can't provide to ship.

Hope they are as responsive as they were to Gil on refund request.  I won't do business with BangGood again and find their constant ads bombarding my screen as a nuisance...shame, they look like they carry a lot of good stuff, but I don't do business their way.

Update #3

Perhaps because I paid via Paypal, and also perhaps because I hit all the different methods of recourse at the same time, I now have confirmation of full refund from Paypal, so this issue is at an end.

Funny, but it was quite interesting to watch this scenario play out, especially after seeing Nick's experience and figuring mine was likely to go just the same way, which it did.

With Jin now offering a buy it now at what seems a fairly reasonable price with a deep stockpile in supply, it is a safe bet that people in the know now have a far better option. Just wish he had done this before I'd placed my Aliexpress order, and saved me some time.

Meanwhile, once I was pretty sure the Aliexpress deal was going to be a No-Go, I managed to win one of Jin's regular eBay auctions for even less than the BIN, and that should be along here most any day now, so hopefully it has all worked out favorably in the end!

Nice! Every one I bid on went higher, so I just hit the BIN. Impatience vs a few dollars- impatience every time.

Glad to see eBay has a handle on things. Just proof positive "package tracking" is more akin to "package estimation of location based on normal travel through the system"

I was going through my purchase history on eBay and couldn't figure it why I had a set of golf clubs purchased and refunded, then I recognized the seller name and turns out my Eachine listing has been changed to golf clubs ???

I think you stood just a good a chance  getting the golf clubs as you did that to hit-n-miss engine. 😨

I think Nick stood no chance of getting either as the clubs were delivered to Denver, which was likely the proper destination, while Nick was just given that tracking number to keep him engaged longer, with the hope that the original seller would be able to source an Eachine engine for him before he decided to try for a refund. Didn't work out that way, but the seller took the chance that it might ... or so I think.
