Hi,

So cool. Is the track signalling system automated?

Yes, designed by a member who's day job is making signalling systems for full size railways.  The 1000 foot track has about six sections controlled by coloured lights; the ground level track uses semaphore signals so there is no confusion.  In the attached video you might be able to pick out the sensors between the tracks; there are far more than six as there is a repeater in the signal box that shows were the trains are. On public running days the number of trains is on the raised track is restricted to three; these trains usually consist of three vacuumed braked cars and a guard who also has control of the brakes

Regards Tony.
