Bonjour Tony,
Rain or not, In France we are not allowed (with excetions) to get out of our houses and flat in my case. I should take this opportunity, to alternate with the boats in the bathtub, to check if my cars are yet operational as they are not used very often

Hi Raphael,

Loved your video! All that fun and steam clean the floor at the same time!  Magic!  It must be a pain to be in a flat however nice it might be, like you we cannot go out unless it is for food or once a day for exercise but at least we have a garden.

I see you belong to the Paris Model Yacht club, when we visit Paris I often take a small yacht to play on the ponds of your parks.  We are fortunate living only 3 km from a park with a large lake.  A few years ago I did a lot of work on an old model yacht its about 90 cm long I don't know anything about its age etc.  But with a piece of clear plastic attached to its rudder to make it larger and single channel radio control it sails quite well.  The first time it sailed in may years if you haven't seen it before.

Take care stay safe.

Tony.

Bonjour Tony,
I hope you will come back to Paris, I would be happy to let you navigate with a steam boat, independant of the wind  ;D

Hi Raphael,

Can I bring my own?  I would never know where I could use it.

Take care Tony.

Bonjour,
Your beautiful and very original boat would be greatly welcome and could navigate with this river tugboat :

Hi Raphael,

Now that is a proper model paddle steamer!  Tanwen was built to test some model steam engines I was working on,  they were to be compact to be used in a small class of boat Mini something?  Any way less than 500 mm which Tanwen is, just! It is based on a type of Australian boat.  It is fitted with a single cylinder engine.  I did design and make a twin but never got around to fitting it.  Attached a couple of photographs you might find interesting.

Maybe if we get to Paris again I will fit it in place of the single cylinder engine in Tanwen.

Take care stay safe.
