I know what I want to do when I wander into shop but have focus issues, if I discuss what I am plannings AI remembers in a way I can use

1. SAW TO LENGTH  (band saw)  --  do this now
       Bought:     12.00  x  6.00  x  1.00     (X x Y x Z, inch)
       Keep:       Y = 6.00   Z = 1.00
Do not saw width or thickness. Face Z on the mill.
       Cut X to:   8.79
                   = PLATE_X 8.750 + 2 x STOCK_EXTRA 0.020
(program cut-to-length when STOCK_X is blank)
Do not go shorter than 8.79. If the saw wanders, leave 8.88
(8-7/8) and set STOCK_X = 8.88 in ArcPlateApp before Generate.
Square the cut to the 6.00 edge. Deburr. Mark one end LEFT.
Drop:       ~3.21 from the 12.00 bar. Keep or scrap.
Mill will true both ends in 01 plate_01_sawn -- that is the
X-index for the vise flip. Do not chase sawn-end finish.
