I switched out to "modern" lamp oil, it's not as low odor as olive oil, but nearly as thin as water so the wick can really draw fuel.
  I will show its range of flame size adjusted simply by pulling more wick out of the spout.
  The largest flames are not practical for more than a minute or 2 as the lamp will get hot at those flame heights.

Much to large, starts to smell up the house and not safe to walk away from,
but wow!

A nice safe extended burn level, base is cool and lamp body is just slightly warm only to the touch:

It seems I am easily entertained by fire, perhaps that is why I don't have many electric fired engines....yet 8)
