Next up is a machine beyond spectacular. It is a super large Marklin Machine shop powered by steam or electricity. I the video you will see it running on it's original electric motor. Brent rebuilt the steam engine and returned it to perfect full function.

Here are some pictures and a short video.

Enjoy,

Gil

As promised.... the video (mine and Brent's)

This Marklin Engine House is a very substantial piece and it is dwarfed by the machine next to it.

I aye eye aye eye aye eye

That is really more than a person can reasonably take in .... but it is certainly worth the trying!

Thank You so much Brent, for opening your astonishing collection to us all, for our viewing pleasure!!!

After 3 jaw dropping hours with Brent, we hit the road again to begin our trip home. By this time we knew a substantial winter storm would be bearing down on us and hitting hardest where we live in Connecticut. It was our hope to get home before it got to our home or to us on the highway.

Simone and I are very thankful that Brent opened his home and collection to us and even more grateful that he not only gave us a guided tour of his amazing collection but allowed us to share the visit with all of you along with including some of his own great videos.

We left Brent's at 6 pm and rolled into a hotel near Jensen in Greensburg, PA. In the morning after check out, we drove the 9 minutes back to Jeannette for one last Jensen visit on the way home. We pulled out of Jeannette that as the rain began from the leading edge of the storm. After about 30 minutes on the road we drove out from under the storm which would then chase us all the way home. We got home about 6 pm... yes, a bit exhausted. However we beat the storm!

We got Michelle and C.C. into the car and went to Appleby's for a dinner we didn't need to make or clean up after. As the food arrived at our table, the snow arrived outdoors... Now this was good timing!
