Ebay steering people away from USPS ?
« on: September 20, 2020, 09:21:49 pm »

I was getting ready to print off a address label for a parcel on eBay that I had sold & while in the process , this warning popped up, never seen anything like this before.

That seems sort of odd, as I've been getting notices that things are being delivered ahead of estimated schedule by the USPS, and they have been!

I prefer USPS as both FedEx and UPS make me drive 20 mins away if I miss delivery, where the post office is right down the street. Haven’t bought much lately, so haven’t experienced any shipping delays.

Same all the way over here Nick  :)

USPS does work exclusively with Royal Danish Mail, and packages gets delivered to my door...or the local grocerystore, which serves a a "post office" out here in the rural parts.
FedEx/UPS parcels, does get other private contractors to deliver.
FedEx is´t all bad, as they use contractors with reasonably close local drop-point coverage.
UPS specifically has a very poor service, with choices being closest pick-up 45 mins away...or a full day of work, to be at home to sign within their insane 12 hour delivery-window from 7AM-7PM.
Cheers

USPS is the only way to go for me in Canada (especially for cost, but also for celerity, reliability, convenience).

You know what they say: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."  I think Herodotus got it right.

USPS routing through major hub in Chicago, Il is currently experiencing a rash of violent shootings. Since you are in Indiana,  perhaps the warning is a regional message from ebay.

USPS was trying to slow things down
If I had the storage space... And the money... I'd have a few more engines.
