Think I'll pass on this one Bruce .... looks to be a good way to get your dying done to me, or potentially killing a stream side spectator. Last place you'd find me is out on the ice when these guys are coming by more out of control than in.

If I was looking to go fast on the ice, I'd be going this route I think:

Likely almost as fast, a lot less noisy, and arguably safer on large bodies of open ice instead of down narrow winding snag choked paths.

Some of the larger multi-sailed and crewed Ice Boats of the late 19th and earlier 20th century, which where well known and quite popular in the upper Midwest and New England states, cleared 100 mph using nothing but wind power!

But then of course ... that's just me.

Wisdom is the domain of the Wis (which is extinct). Beauty is a French phonetic corruption of a short cloth neck ornament currently in resurgence..."

What Northerners do to get out of the house in the winter.

At least they don’t feel the need to climb on icy roofs Nick.

Very entertaining Bruce. Thanks for posting!

I spent 4 hours moving snow yesterday and built a hill for the kids (okay myself too) that's a foot taller than our van  :D :D

Reminds me of how some people drive on icy roads! I'll pass, too many trees to whack and the branches poking thru the ice...YIKES!
