You lost more than 20°C in one day ! I have looked to a map, Minnesota is closed to great lakes, I would have imagined they would have temperate the variations... Common very year or new ?

I am in Southeast Minnesota, about 2 1/2 hours away from Lake Superior, but we visit there quite often as it's a short enough drive. It's very common in MN to experience all 4 seasons in one week    Last year we were -40°C one morning and +5°C the following evening (a 45°C change in a day and a half!)
