Hi, I received multiple questions by email regarding my post above. Therefore, I decided to clarify as following:
It is allowed by health officials to have the typical dry sauna temperatures from 180-195 F. If you try to breath steam at that temperature, you will add to the problem. I intentionally said dry sauna for a reason. Typical steam rooms in Gyms & spas temperature is 140 F only.
The Covid-19 patient who is in critical condition is suffering from excess moisture in the lungs, steam will make the situation worse.
Let it be known that I am not recommending or advising anyone to do anything. We are all smart collectors and can use our own judgements. I was able to simulate the dry sauna conditions at home using an electric unit heater which has no exhaust & a bed sheet. One normal healthy person should not remain in dry sauna more than few minutes at a time. So everyone and his/her tolerance. Multiple short sessions will work too. Again dry sauna, not steam
