Go figure..
« on: December 05, 2021, 02:22:49 pm »
I dropped the wife and kid at the movies and on my way home,
past an apartment house, what do I see but a 5 foot high
roll-around tool chest, with the garbage.  Overflowing.  I picked
thru it and found a bunch of small open end wrenches, pliers,
chisels, sockets, 3 sets of tap/dies and other junk.

So two things I grabbed right away - a large brass mallet
and a...vacuum pump.  The mallet is now shined up ready for
whatever needs convincing.  As to the K-D Tools Vacuum Pump,
it works and will pump up to 28.5 inches of vacuum.  It's
cool but....is it good for anything fun?  I added some pix.

Some of the tools were gigantic and probably used for heavy
equipment.  I took smaller stuff and left the rest - I'm not
greedy.  And, by the time I left, two other guys were picking
thru it.  Great fun.

And, I steamed my B-43 Empire with homemade 400 watt heating
element yesterday for a 15 minute steamup.   Runs like a champ,
built like a tank.

Fun, Laughs, Good Times,
Wayne

"whatever needs convincing"  lmfao I cant!!! Great finds congrats.
Love steam engines, especially older German made.  Love the more clockwork style.  Addicted to this stuff!
