I did some calculations once and figured it was cheaper to use regular 87 octane gasoline than E85 as you get poorer gas mileage with E85 even though it's cheaper at the pump. But it helps your midwestern farmers. The newer models are probably better, but I commonly get 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. If my wife is traveling with me we won't be "sleeping in a van down by the river" (thanks Chris Farley).
