My dad was a volunteer that did 2 tours in Vietnam,  came home to completely undeserved disgust and vitriol, and promptly entered college to study criminal sciences after which he entered Police Academy. Graduating in a turbulent time, he served with distinction until retirement 23 years later. He remained retired for about 6 months, when he was asked to be the Chief of the town he lived in. He again answered his civic duty and retired only after he become to sick to perform his duties. He raised us to respect family, community, nature, the law, the country and the flag. My brother raised good kids, and they can't be the only ones out there. America has weathered anarchists and marxists before. And there were newspaper people printing absolutely trash same as we have now.
