I wish I had seen this question back when you asked and I hope you had a great road trip.

Option 1.  Interstate 79 and 77 is a beautiful route. It is all interstate highway through the mountains and the most scenic.

Option 2.  Get over to Interstate 81 which provides lots of beautiful rolling hills.

Option 3.  I-95 is strictly for self-torture and boredom and in my opinion the most dangerous.
Flat roads with way too much traffic and not much to see.

I speak from a background of great experience. In the 1970's and early 1980's I drove 18 wheelers all over this great country and have driven most every highway (interstate and state) multiple times. I still love driving to this day. It has been over 35 years since the last time I drove a rig over the road. I logged near 900,000 miles over the road and never had an on the road accident in a truck. Good thing I still like it because I put on a lot of miles attending shows.
