 K.J .Miller  Junior Engineer Model SE-100
Had to do quite a bit of work on this one. the boiler was cracked heater block was cracked . But got him buzzing

Any chance you'd care to share with us the details of repairing the cracked boiler shell and heater body?

The crack in the boiler is a easy fix . Just v the crack like you would do a peace of still to weld and use a high temp epoxy it works good The heater blocks are a different story its hard to find the wright type of carbon . It took me about a year to find some I bought all of it I have plenty of it left if you need some . It is very hard to get  electrode wires through the boiler and seal back wright but if I can do it any one can.

Thanks for that info .... much as I thought.

I wonder if EDM graphite would be a suitable material for the electrodes, seems like it ought to work fine and should be readily available from common sources.

None of mine are currently having these problems, but it is good to have a plan in place should one ever be needed.

EDM graphite will work but its real slow to heat with it. I got these from Israel . I can remember the exact molecular structure but I do have written down in my book becouse I can never remember all this stuff.

Noticed this one last month on Ebay, and remember thinking that someone had put some serious work into it.

I see now that it took quite a bit more work than i imagined...
