  Empire engines are cool.  I did notice the longer crankshaft.

  Maybe, a prior owner planned on customizing it as I did my
IND-X engine.  I just happened to have a properly sized steel
rod, and cut it to a proper length.  I used a puller to take
the flywheels off (pictured engine and shelf queen) and reset
the original and extra flywheels to make a 'cool' engine.  Please
note there is some fussing yet to be done.
