P 60 Governor

I have a p 60 governor from Microcosm that I need to get the spring off to put a softer one on . Has any one done this ? I tried but could not get it apart. Any help would be great. Thanks.

remove the nut from the top & then 3 retaining clips from either the top or bottom set of flyball arms.

I tried that. There is a collar on the rod under the nut that I cant get off. Any ideas ?
