Welcome to the forum from MN, as Bruce said, fill the cup with steam oil before the run. The mess in your condensation tray doesn’t mean the oil was in your boiler, it’s your exhaust and it will be oily and messy, probably have to dump it out a few times during a run. The mess is a good sign that the oil made it into the cylinder    probably a lot more than is really needed, but a bottle of oil will last you a long time
