I have read that the better option when choosing a displacement lubricator for a steam engine, is one referred to as a standalone type. I have drawings for the passthrough type where the steam feed goes thru the oiler body. I am interested in reverse engineering one of the other types. As I understand it these are also made two different ways, one with a fixed orifice, and one adjustable. I would like the adjustable type. I did some searching but could not find any details on how they are made. I am near completion of my twin cylinder wobbler and will soon start on the boiler build. I will be needing a inline oiler and though I would like to build, instead of purchasing one. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
