We had our first snow for the year on Oct. 14th 2018, But today I was out painting my barn in shorts and a t-shirt.

We set a new record here yesterday, by two degrees, as well. The really sad thing is that there also appears to be no chance of any precipitation, which would help immensely with all the fires, for the rest of this month. It's even too warm for working on my woodpile for this coming winter, but I do a bit each morning anyway.

We had strong winds overnight and now sitting in the low to mid 30’s. They’re talking snow for the weekend so I’ll have to get grandpa’s and my own leaves mulched into the lawn before the weekend. It looks like the wind ripped most of them off overnight along with blowing the chairs off my deck  ::)

That's still one of the coolest (pardon the pun) steam engine vids to be seen with your kids getting pulled along Nick :)
