Hi,

Last weekend the Cardiff Model Engineering Society had it's 30th. steam rally which we attended.  A couple of videos of the event.

Looks like fun. Nice models! Day 2 looks a little chilly but there was plenty of warm steam in the air.

Hi,

That little gauge one tram can really pull it weight!

Yes, it has a very free steaming gas fired boiler with its safety valve set for 25psi, and it is powered by a double acting single cylinder oscillating engine with a 19mm stroke, 9mm bore (about 3/4"x 3/8"in old money) engine, geared 4.33:1 to the axles. It is built to 7/8" scale and runs on '0'gauge track and has turned out far more powerful than expected.
