Hello folks
this is the last piece I was hoping to acquire before my next steam show Aug 4-7th
I just received this yesterday & did a light refurbishing of this wonderful little hand crank scroll saw, the only modification I did was to add a helper spring under the carriage to assist in lifting it for a more even rotation for a steam engine to run @ my steam shows. it is 12" tall, 11 1/2" at its longest point, the cast base is 5 3/8" x 4 3/8", the drive wheel is slotted for a treadle belt & is 5 1/2" OD. it has just under an 8" throat & takes a 5" pinned blade, still available today. weight is 6 lbs. 8.5 oz's. patent date is Aug. 21, 1923. very easy to turn over.

More a real workshop machine than a steam toy accessory.

Recently I got in the big sister of my BISCHOFF band saw... I'm not shure if it was meant as a steam toy or as a Jeweler's workshop machine.
In comparison to the small 20cm BISCHOFF and the even smaller DOLL band saws its quite impressive.

Even in comparison to the bigger band saws of MARKLIN and FALK its quite large.

Thanks Charlie , I try to change my display year over year to keep it fresh, this year. I plan on having a 3' x 10' table out front with the big boiler, (2) 1/2 hp Sipp engines, the big PMR vertical & the Stuart #1 engine all powering either the Wilcox & Gibbs sewing machine, Delta scroll saw, table saw & butter churn.

Bruce, I never knew such a saw existed in a size that can be run off model steam engine like the Stuart...very nice indeed!

Thanks Rog , I've been looking for one for a while now & one popped up in Lebanon In. that was complete and in good running condition, found it right before my show

Sure you can , its called the Pioneer engineers reunion , Rushville In. August 4-7th. Usually have over 25 steam tractors.
